How does NeoMa work?

NeoMa is a journal for your aquarium. You record what you do in a few taps; when something goes wrong, those records show you what to check.

1

Create your tank

A name is all it takes; NeoMa even suggests one based on your name. Enter the dimensions and it calculates gross volume. Equipment, livestock and setup date are optional; add them anytime from “Edit tank”.

If you skip the setup date, NeoMa doesn't guess your tank's age; it shows “On NeoMa for X days”.

2

Log in ten seconds

Pick what you did today: feeding, water change, measurement, photo, fertilizing or trimming. Today's date is already selected. Details are optional and prefilled from your last entry. Did the same as yesterday? “Repeat last entry” saves it in one tap.

  • 2 taps: Feeding → Save
  • 1 tap: Repeat last entry
  • 0 required fields

3

Your tank's memory

Every entry and photo sits on a single chronological timeline. See day one's photo next to today; water changes, trimmings and new arrivals are never forgotten.

4

Measurements and trends

TDS and pH, easy to measure at home, come first; temperature, KH, GH and the test-kit values nitrate, nitrite, ammonia and phosphate sit below. Only the values you track are shown. Each new measurement is compared with the previous one, and the trend line draws itself.

5

When something goes wrong

Say “There's a problem in the tank” and pick the symptom: fish gasping at the surface, deaths, cloudy water, melting plants, rising temperature, algae, shrimp loss or a power outage. NeoMa looks at your last 14 days of records and ranks signs like ammonia and nitrite readings, nitrate trend, recent large water changes, medication, feeding amounts, new livestock and temperature swings as “Check first” and “Also check”. Under each item you see the record that triggered it, with its date, and jump to the related guide. If you like, a “How is the problem going?” task is added for three days later.

This is a rule-based checklist, not a veterinary diagnosis. The more consistent your records, the more accurate the list. If there are few records in the last 14 days, NeoMa says so openly.

Guides and calculators

The Akademi holds sourced guides from water chemistry to species care. The volume, water-change, RO-mix, GH/KH and free-ammonia calculators are free and need no membership. The “Do you have this problem?” links in guides take you straight to your own tank's checklist.
